Stock market indicators continue their gains, led by the Main Market

Kuwait Stock Exchange indicators recorded varied gains during today’s session, as the main market index continued its outstanding performance, while both the First Market and General Market indices rose at different rates amid sustained buying momentum on several stocks.
The session witnessed notable buying interest in a number of small and mid-cap stocks, driving them to record strong gains. This activity, evident in this segment of the market, contributed to boosting the gains of the main market index.
Mataher shares led the list of top gainers with an increase of nearly 23 percent, followed by Awal Takaful shares with a rise of around 14 percent, and then Umm Al Quwain shares with a gain of approximately 13 percent, reflecting the continued noticeable activity in several small and mid-cap stocks.
Regarding circulating liquidity, it decreased by 1.1 percent to reach 121.8 million dinars, compared to 123.15 million dinars in Sunday’s session. The main market accounted for the largest share of total liquidity at 56 percent, surpassing the First Market, which held 44 percent of the total.
In terms of index performance details, the General Market Index rose by approximately 18.07 points, equivalent to 0.20 percent, reaching 8,962 points, with 463.1 million shares traded across 32,516 transactions.
The First Market Index increased by about 12.34 points, or 0.13 percent, to reach 9,317 points, with a liquidity value of 53.6 million dinars, trading volumes of 157.5 million shares, executed through 9,954 transactions.
Meanwhile, the main index rose by approximately 49.33 points, or 0.52 percent, closing at 9,476 points, with a traded value of 68.1 million dinars, and a trading volume of 305.5 million shares, carried out through 22,562 transactions.
Regarding the most traded stocks by value, Awal Takaful ranked first with a value of 13.03 million dinars, reaching a price of 656 fils, followed by GFH with 6.03 million dinars at a price of 178 fils, then Mataher with 5.6 million dinars closing at 345 fils, and Eiva with 5.1 million dinars at a price of 400 fils. Fifth was Tazween with 4.4 million dinars, reaching a price of 329 fils.
Mataher shares led the list of top gainers with a rise of 22.78 percent, trading 18.04 million shares, followed by Awal Takaful with a 13.69 percent increase, trading 20.7 million shares, and then Umm Al Quwain with a 12.98 percent gain, trading 446,900 shares to reach a price of 148 fils. Al-Anzima ranked fourth with an 8.20 percent rise, trading 1.22 million shares to reach a price of 1.596 dinars, and fifth was Asmant with a 6.84 percent increase, trading 63,200 shares to reach a price of 406 fils.
On the other hand, Hotels shares recorded a decline of 7.39 percent, leading the list of most declining stocks, trading 45,200 shares to reach a price of 238 fils, followed by Yubak with a 5.76 percent drop, trading 2.5 million shares to fall to a price of 278 fils, then Al-Kout with a 2.50 percent decrease, trading 1,111 shares to close at 780 fils, and Unicab with a 2.41 percent drop, trading 989,900 shares to fall to a price of 283 fils. Fifth was Tijari with a 2.26 percent decline, trading around 1,050 shares to close at 518 fils.
