Shousha: Return

Days remain until the start of the new academic year, which begins with students’ aspirations for success, ambition, and the attainment of their educational goals. These goals will guide them on a scholarly journey that elevates their hopes, objectives, and knowledge, illuminating their future paths. The responsibility largely falls on school administrations, which play a major role in preparing students by providing a suitable educational environment and an inviting, non-repelling atmosphere. Equally important is the role of teachers, who are the core element in transforming classrooms into engaging spaces through effective student interaction and by fulfilling their scientific duty: simplifying curricula during instruction and conveying information smoothly, so that it does not become a specter haunting the student’s mind, who may suffer from the fear of failing a subject.

Families also bear responsibility for creating appropriate conditions for their student children, free from pressures that could evolve into psychological crises, distracting them and hindering their ability to learn and achieve top grades. The psychological factor plays a crucial role in turning the school into a student’s second home, rather than a source of fear or procrastination. A student whose mind is distracted while seated at his desk will not succeed in absorbing explanations or achieving the desired positive outcomes. In this context, the school’s social services department must play a prominent role in assessing the situation of any student experiencing negative academic effects and identifying the underlying causes. The psychological dimension is vital across various life aspects, particularly for students facing continuous pressure throughout the academic year due to relentless monitoring aimed at achieving the highest grades. This includes high school seniors, who require a stable environment that provides all necessary means and pathways to ensure the successful conclusion of the academic year with top grades.

Education is a goal through which a rising generation of aware and conscious individuals is built—individuals capable of self-development, creativity, and expanding their horizons toward a brilliant future. Education has no boundaries and does not stop at a specific stage; rather, it continues, grows, and develops as one advances to higher levels, ultimately reaching the highest academic degrees. Students must fully understand this and not limit their knowledge and thinking to high school alone. They should maintain a vision for a scientific future that opens all paths toward excellence and glory, crowned by higher academic degrees and specializations aligned with their goals and ambitions.

The coming days, with the launch of the new academic year, should also mark a beginning toward brighter days filled with optimism, renewing dreams of a brilliant future. It is also essential to strengthen oversight through unannounced school visits to observe their various activities, as well as to closely monitor the instruction provided by teachers and how information is conveyed to students. All these efforts serve the best interests of our student children.
