Abdi: We announce the end of the 'QSD' mission and its dissolution as an independent military force

Abdi said during a press conference held at the People’s Palace in Damascus: “Today we stand at a historic moment, closing an important chapter in Syria’s history and beginning a new one, whose hallmark is peace, stability, and reconstruction. Circumstances have changed today, and the country has entered a new phase, whose hallmark is peace and the rebuilding of a new Syria. Following the agreement with President Ahmad al-Sharaa and the completion of the integration of our forces into the brigades of the Syrian Army, we hereby announce the end of the mission of the Syrian Democratic Forces and, with full responsibility, declare their dissolution as an independent military force.”

He added, “We want this day to mark the beginning of a genuine transition from battlefields to construction sites, and from the era of weapons to the era of peace.”
