Traffic Department Launches Inspection Campaign on Trucks in the 7th Ring Road and King Fahd Road

The General Directorate of Traffic (Highway Administration) conducted an intensive supervisory traffic campaign targeting trucks on the Seventh Ring Road and King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Road, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance road safety and raise compliance with traffic rules and regulations.

The campaign, which ran from August 16 to 20, resulted in the detection of 2,627 traffic violations. These included 1,386 violations for failing to keep to the right-hand side, improper overtaking, and disregard for road markings. Additionally, 1,241 violations were recorded for non-compliance with truck safety and structural requirements, including the absence of rear bumpers, missing reflective strips, uncovered cargo, and lack of a spare tire.

The General Directorate of Traffic affirmed its commitment to continuing supervisory campaigns on various roads to safeguard road users and curb traffic violations. It urged truck drivers to fully adhere to all safety requirements to protect lives.
