Death Claims Palestinian Artist Sulaiman Mansour

Palestinian artist Suleiman Mansour died today, Monday, leaving behind an artistic legacy that transformed land, exile, memory, and resilience into enduring symbols of Palestinian identity.

Born in the city of Birzeit, north of Ramallah, in 1947, the late artist depicted olive trees, Palestinian women, and traditional attire in his paintings, as well as the relationship of the Palestinian people with their homeland, which continues to fragment under occupation.

Mansour contributed to preserving the memory of Palestine, its natural landscapes, and its people through works that offered generations more than mere depictions of their homeland.
