Al-Jazeera and Al-Qadisiyah... Strategic Partnership for 3 Years

The agreement holds particular significance as it marks the first time in Al-Qadsiah Club’s history that a sponsorship deal with a single partner has been secured for a three-year term, reflecting mutual trust between both parties and shifting the relationship from seasonal sponsorship to a long-term national partnership based on a shared vision to support Kuwaiti sports, youth, and the club’s fans.
The partnership contract was signed yesterday morning at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre – Conference Hall, during a well-attended press conference where the agreement was announced. The event was attended by representatives from Jazeera Airways, Al-Qadsiah Club, as well as the first-team coach and players.
Jazeera Airways’ sponsorship of Al-Qadsiah stems from the company’s sense of national and social responsibility, and its recognition of the role sports play in uniting Kuwaitis and fostering a sense of belonging and connectivity, particularly among the youth. It also reflects support for sports institutions that represent the country and elevate its name at local and international forums.
The commitment to a three-year sponsorship reflects a vision that goes beyond immediate support, aiming to contribute to a more stable sports environment. This provides the club with greater scope for planning, developing initiatives, and strengthening ties with its fans, while also highlighting the role the Kuwaiti private sector can play in supporting clubs and contributing to the development of national sports.
The partnership slogan, “The Journey Continues… Wings Carrying a Nation,” symbolizes the convergence of two prominent Kuwaiti brands: Jazeera Airways, which carries Kuwait’s name to destinations worldwide, and Al-Qadsiah Club, with its rich sporting history and national legacy built by generations of champions and fans.
The choice of Al-Qadsiah is a natural extension of this direction, given the club’s national value, historical status, and broad fan base, as well as the achievements, titles, and enduring memories associated with its name in the hearts of Kuwaitis.
Through this partnership, Jazeera accompanies the “Royal” club on a new journey characterized by sustainability, ambition, and the pursuit of further titles and achievements.
By continuing as the main sponsor and official carrier of Al-Qadsiah, Jazeera Airways reaffirms that supporting Kuwaiti sports is an integral part of its commitment to society, and that its partnership with the “Royal” club represents an investment in a national institution that carries the legacy of Kuwaiti sports and the aspirations of future generations.
On this occasion, Mohammed Rida Ma’arfi, a member of the board of directors of Al-Qadsiah Sports Club, expressed his pride in the partnership, stating that it strengthens the concept of sustainability in the sports sector.
Ma’arfi thanked the club’s marketing team for their efforts and cumulative work over the years, noting that the results of this work are gradually becoming evident at the club. He highlighted the club’s partnerships with various sectors, particularly the private sector, which is crucial and partners with many state institutions.
Ma’arfi said, “Today, these partnerships and trust in this sector are being strengthened, and thank God, we at Al-Qadsiah Club are considered the locomotive leading sports marketing in Kuwait, reflecting this impact on many sports institutions in Kuwait. Thank you.”
He added, “The result of this work and cooperation between Al-Qadsiah Club and the private sector is evident today in the continuation and extension of the partnership with Jazeera Airways for three years. This is heartwarming and reflects the confidence of a major company and an important airline, one of the leading airlines in Kuwait and the region, in Al-Qadsiah Club. This extension and partnership come after a one-year trial period.”
Maarfi highlighted the club’s ambitions and determination to reach the podiums, stating, “As we promised before and said, God willing, the work will proceed at an accelerating pace. God willing, we will achieve what we aspire to, in a manner befitting Al-Qadsiah Club and a company like Jazeera Airways.”
He affirmed that “this partnership reinforces the concept of sustainability in the sports sector,” adding that “the next three years give us a greater opportunity and scope to work. We promise everyone, especially Al-Qadsiah fans, that the club will present itself better, God willing, not only on the sporting level but also in terms of institutional operations.”
Maarfi appreciated “the great trust Jazeera Airways has placed in us through this extension. God willing, we will continue to soar with Jazeera Airways to higher horizons this season, God willing.”
Basupathi said, “Today marks a truly significant milestone. Jazeera Airways is proud to renew its partnership with Al-Qadsiah Football Club for another three years, marking the beginning of a new chapter in a distinguished partnership that unites a Kuwaiti airline with one of Kuwait’s oldest, most prestigious, and most celebrated football clubs.”
He added that “Al-Qadsiah represents a legacy built on determination, resilience, teamwork, and relentless pursuit of excellence—values that align closely with those we uphold at Jazeera Airways.”
Al-Obeid said, “Today is a special moment for Jazeera Airways. We met in this very place exactly one year ago, on September 9, 2025, to sign the partnership and sponsorship agreement with Al-Qadsiah Club. After one year, and having proven the partnership’s success for both parties, we return.”
He continued, “Last year, we began our journey with Al-Qadsiah as the main sponsor and official airline partner. Today, we take this relationship further through our three-year commitment and our steadfast support for one of Kuwait’s oldest and most prestigious sports institutions.”
He emphasized that “Jazeera Airways is proud once again to be the first to sign a three-year sponsorship agreement with Al-Qadsiah Club,” noting that “the partnership between Al-Qadsiah Club and Jazeera Airways goes beyond sponsorship; it is a bond between two Kuwaiti institutions that share values, the warrior spirit, and authentic Kuwaiti identity.”
Al-Obeid explained that “supporting youth and sports is part of our identity. The ‘Meet & Connect’ program launched last week in collaboration with Kuwaiti universities to attract outstanding graduates into the company’s Future Leaders Program is evidence of this.”
He pointed out that extending a partnership is among the most challenging endeavors, requiring aligned objectives. “Praise be to God, there is alignment of goals between us and Al-Qadsiah, which led us to extend the partnership for the next three years.”
In his speech, Al-Obeid said, “Regarding the warrior spirit, you are all aware of the difficulties faced by the aviation sector due to geopolitical circumstances, which resulted in the closure of airports for 57 days.”
He clarified that “despite this, Jazeera Airways did not give up and continued flying, connecting Kuwait to the outside world through the Burqa project and at airports in our sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, transporting over 200,000 passengers.” He affirmed that “this spirit we both embody is what unites Al-Qadsiah and Jazeera.”
On the sidelines of the conference, Al-Obeid responded to a question about the benefits Jazeera Airways provides to Al-Qadsiah Club, beyond financial support, stating that “the partnership is not merely about financial support; it extends far beyond that.”
He added, “For us, as an airline sector, our priority is presence, logistical support, media support, and financial backing. Regarding Al-Qadsiah Club, we are very pleased with our partnership with them, and we are also proud to be associated with a historic club like Al-Qadsiah, which boasts a large fanbase. God willing, in the coming period, we will make specific arrangements with the supporters’ association, so that Al-Qadsiah Club members will receive special privileges through Jazeera Airways, God willing.”
