Al-Hawila Discusses Preparing a Comprehensive National Strategy for Protection from Domestic Violence

The Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, discussed on Sunday the preparation of a comprehensive national strategy and the enhancement of institutional coordination and rapid response mechanisms for reports and complaints, during her chairing of the second meeting of the National Committee for Protection from Domestic Violence.

Minister Al-Huwail stated in a press statement following the meeting that the committee discussed ways to activate the provisions of Decree-Law No. (11) of 2026 concerning Protection from Domestic Violence.

Al-Huwail emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to continuing the development of regulatory frameworks and operational practices in alignment with societal values and Kuwait’s international obligations, thereby contributing to the security of the family and the stability of society.
