Kuwait Youth Team Concludes Preparations for Friendly Match Against UAE

The technical staff of the Kuwait youth national team, led by Croatian coach Milen Verdo, continue their intensive preparations at their training camp in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, where they will put the finishing touches tomorrow in preparation for Monday’s match against the United Arab Emirates national team. This fixture marks the conclusion of the third and final phase of the pre-qualifying program before entering the Asian qualifiers for the 2027 AFC U-20 Asian Cup.

The camp in Bangkok is part of the “Blue” team’s preparation plan for the seventh group, hosted by Cambodia in a centralized format from October 31 to November 6. The group includes Cambodia, Japan, Yemen, and Kuwait.

The technical staff aims to address the errors that surfaced in the recent friendly match against Iraq, which the “Blue” team lost 1-0, while focusing on enhancing the players’ technical and physical readiness ahead of the continental qualifiers. The match against the UAE holds particular significance as the final rehearsal before the official competition. The coaching staff relies on this game to test the starting lineup that will be used in the qualifiers, with limited changes not exceeding four players in the second half, after having given opportunities to approximately 22 players in the previous three matches against Jordan and Iraq.
