Civil Service Bureau: Notifications on the Approval of Academic Qualifications for Government Employees

In a move reflecting the commitment of government entities to the accuracy and correctness of data pertaining to state employees, the relevant authorities at the Diwan of Civil Service have begun sending notifications to employees of government entities. These notifications include the educational qualifications entered by these entities, with a view to their approval.
The Diwan stated in the notifications, which have been reaching employees sequentially, that “your employer has modified or added data regarding your educational qualification.” It urged employees to verify the accuracy of this data and confirm it before signing an acknowledgment of its correctness and approving it.
It clarified that if there is an error in the educational qualification data, the employee must consult the competent authorities within their employer’s entity to work on correcting and updating the information in the integrated systems.
A well-informed source told “Al-Jarida” that the Civil Service’s procedure aims to ensure that employees verify the accuracy of their own educational qualification data and acknowledge its correctness, particularly since this data is entered into the integrated systems by employees of government entities, necessitating that the certificate holder be informed of the data before final approval.
This follows a step announced by the Diwan of Civil Service in 2023 to commence a comprehensive review of educational qualification certificates for all workers in entities under its supervision. At that time, it requested copies of educational qualifications and academic certificates above the general secondary level for all state employees, both Kuwaiti and non-Kuwaiti.
