Family Affairs and Community Police: Achieving Family Stability and Protecting Those Exposed to Violence

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Community Police Department and his deputy, along with several senior officials from the department. On the side of the Protection Centers Administration, the meeting included the Administration Director, the Head of the Reception and Follow-up Department, and several researchers from the administration.

The meeting discussed several vital proposals aimed at accelerating response times and providing a safe environment for targeted cases. Emphasis was placed on several key areas, including emergency security accompaniment for special cases, assigning a liaison officer from the Community Police to ensure immediate coordination with protection centers and expedite security intervention when necessary, and the importance of security presence at shelters to enhance safety levels and enable rapid handling of emergency reports.

At the conclusion of the meeting, attendees stressed the importance of institutionalizing this cooperation and continuously developing its operational mechanisms. They affirmed that the integration between the security role of the Community Police and the preventive and social roles of the Protection Centers under the Supreme Council for Family Affairs constitutes a fundamental pillar for achieving family stability and protecting the most vulnerable groups exposed to violence, in accordance with the directives of the Supreme Leadership and the instructions of Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs and President of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs.
