In line with its commitment to strengthening national partnerships with government entities and supporting state institutions in implementing their vital projects, Essam Jasem Al-Saqer, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NBK Group, visited the Ministry of Interior, where he met with the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef.
This contribution embodies the deep national spirit of NBK and its dedication to safeguarding the country’s resources, reaffirming that the role of national institutions extends beyond supporting the economy to actively enhancing the readiness of strategic facilities and supporting state efforts under all circumstances.
The initiative also reflects NBK’s approach of directing its contributions toward projects of national priority, driven by its position as a leading institution keen to contribute to the progress of development and strengthen the foundations of growth and stability.
This contribution underscores NBK’s leadership in national and corporate social responsibility, as well as its long-standing track record of launching and supporting strategic initiatives with sustainable impact, embodying its vision of creating genuine value for society and supporting the state’s developmental aspirations.
It is worth noting that the Cabinet, in its meeting No. (32/2026) – (118) held on August 18, approved the Ministry of Interior’s request to accept NBK’s contribution of one million dinars to support the restoration and rehabilitation of the country’s land border crossings.
This initiative is part of a continuous series of strategic contributions made by the bank to vital sectors in the country. The most recent included a contribution of 1.3 million dinars to develop Kuwait International Airport facilities and enhance its operational readiness as the state’s sovereign gateway, alongside a $5 million donation to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, managed by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development. These actions reinforce NBK’s leading role in supporting government efforts to address crises and exceptional situations, mitigating their impacts efficiently and flexibly.
