Al-Watani Provides Digital Registration Service for Zayna Children's Account

National Bank of Kuwait continues to reinforce its leadership in digital innovation and advanced banking services by offering digital registration for “Zina” children’s accounts through its National Mobile Banking app, becoming the first bank in Kuwait to provide a fully integrated digital journey for opening minors’ accounts from start to finish, without the need to visit any of its branches.
This step aligns with the bank’s strategy to accelerate the pace of digital transformation and enhance customer experience by delivering innovative banking solutions that meet customers’ needs and aspirations, thereby providing a more convenient, flexible, and efficient banking experience through digital channels.
Through the digital registration service for “Zina” accounts, parents can now fully digitally open accounts for their children via the National Mobile Banking app, at any time and from anywhere, without needing to visit a branch or complete any paper-based procedures. This represents a significant leap forward in the experience of opening children’s accounts in the Kuwaiti banking market.
The service offers a seamless, end-to-end digital journey that includes electronic verification of the child’s data, uploading required documents, completing Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements for minors, selecting the appropriate account type, and finalizing the account opening process through a unified digital pathway characterized by speed, ease, and security. It also gives parents the flexibility to choose an account that suits their children’s needs from the “Zina” suite, whether through the Jewel Savings Account or the Trusts Account, thereby helping to instill savings habits and financial planning from an early age.
In line with National Bank of Kuwait’s commitment to providing a comprehensive and smooth banking experience, the service includes a smart mechanism for handling exceptional cases that may require additional verification of the relationship between the parent and the child. In such cases, the request is directly referred to a specialized team that reviews it and completes the necessary procedures on the same day, ensuring swift processing while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy and reliability.
The new service contributes to providing a faster and more convenient banking experience for customers by eliminating the need to visit branches and completing all account-opening steps digitally, thereby saving time and effort and enhancing access to banking services anytime and anywhere.
This launch reflects the bank’s dedication to leveraging the latest digital technologies to develop banking solutions centered on customer needs, offering a smoother and more efficient experience, boosting the use of digital channels, and supporting the bank’s direction toward providing advanced banking services that keep pace with the rapid developments in the banking sector.
The launch of this service also aligns with National Bank of Kuwait’s efforts to enhance financial awareness and encourage families to plan early for their children’s financial future by providing solutions that help instill concepts of savings and financial responsibility from an early age, contributing to preparing a more aware and future-ready generation.
Through this initiative, the bank reaffirms its continued investment in innovation and digital transformation, developing advanced banking solutions that offer customers greater convenience, flexibility, and ease of access to services, while maintaining the highest standards of security and reliability.
National Bank of Kuwait continues to solidify its leading position in digital banking services by delivering customer-centric innovative solutions that provide genuine added value, enhancing the banking experience and supporting the aspirations of current and future generations toward a brighter financial future.
