13 people lost after migrant boat sinks off the Tunisian coast

Mustafa Abdel-Kabeer, head of the Tunisian Observatory for Human Rights, said the boat was carrying 15 Tunisians, most of them from the Ben Gardane region. It set sail in the early hours of the day before yesterday (Thursday) but sank at sea.

Hossam Eddine Jabbali, spokesperson for the Tunisian National Guard, said that coast guard units, supported by an aircraft and naval units, were conducting search operations for the missing migrants. He noted that the boat sank approximately 14 nautical miles off the coast of Jerba.
