Tesla and eight other companies recall 4.3 million cars in China

Tesla and eight other automakers announced on Friday that they would recall a total of approximately 4.3 million vehicles in China due to concerns that doors may be difficult to open in emergencies, marking the largest car recall in the country.
China announced it would ban hidden door handles starting in 2027, becoming the first country to gradually phase out a design popularized by Tesla and widely adopted by local Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers.
