Meghan Holds Talks to Play a Role in Netflix’s «The Gentlemen»

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reported that Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is in talks to return to acting with a role in “The Gentlemen,” a series airing on Netflix.
The report noted that the discussions are still in their early stages, but they could lead to Meghan’s first major acting role since her marriage to Prince Harry.
Notably, large portions of the first two seasons of the series, directed by Guy Ritchie, were filmed in the Cotswolds, the same region that speculation suggests Harry and Meghan may choose to reside in when they return to the United Kingdom later this month.
“The Gentlemen,” starring Theo James in the lead role, is a comedic drama centered on an English duke who becomes a drug lord.
Details of the talks or the nature of the role Meghan might play have not yet been disclosed. Meghan gained fame for her acting, particularly for her portrayal of lawyer Rachel Zane in the American legal drama “Suits,” a role she played for seven seasons, with her final episode airing in 2018.
The Duchess of Sussex had paused her professional career after marrying Prince Harry in May 2018. At the time, she told the BBC that she did not view leaving acting as giving something up, but rather as a new chapter in her life.
