Interior Ministry: Three suspects arrested for possession of drugs and alcoholic beverages; 7 kg of gold, four luxury watches, and 40,000 dinars seized

As part of ongoing security efforts to combat the scourge of drugs, track their distributors, and trace the proceeds of their illegal activities, while countering various methods used to conceal or disguise them, the General Directorate for Combating Narcotics, following intensive surveillance and investigations, arrested three suspects in possession of quantities of narcotics, psychoactive substances, and alcoholic beverages, with intent to traffic and consume.

Investigations revealed that the suspects were concealing and disguising the proceeds of their illegal activities, converting a portion of the revenues from trafficking in psychoactive substances and alcoholic beverages into high-value assets, including luxury watches and gold, alongside retaining cash proceeds from sales.
