Alibaba's revenues rise 9% to $39.63 billion in the first quarter of 2027

Alibaba Group, listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, announced that its revenues rose by 9% year-on-year in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, reaching 268.95 billion yuan (approximately $39.63 billion).
According to the earnings report, revenues from Alibaba Cloud surged 45% year-on-year, marking its fastest growth rate in 22 quarters.
Revenues from AI-related products reached 12.376 billion yuan, recording triple-digit year-on-year growth for the 12th consecutive quarter.
Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) for the AI cloud and computing services segment rose 133% year-on-year.
In this context, Eddie Wu, CEO of Alibaba Group, stated that the company is well-positioned to capitalize on the significant growth in demand for AI and AI computing.
