US Vice President JD Vance: We have entered a new phase in the conflict with Iran

US Vice President JD Vance, a key figure in Donald Trump’s administration, stated that the conflict with Iran has entered a new phase, noting that the most effective tool at their disposal is the economic pressure that can be exerted on Tehran.
He added, “But what has become evident over the past two weeks is that they have felt far more pressure than we have.”
The US Vice President emphasized that Washington will continue this approach because it believes it is the best way to achieve the ultimate goal, pointing out that what Washington is essentially trying to do with Iran is to create a new reality on the ground.
JD Vance declared, “If we can supply sufficient quantities of oil and gas to alleviate energy price pressures on some Americans, while simultaneously punishing the Iranians for firing on commercial ships, this will impose enormous economic pressure on them and alter their calculations regarding the agreement they wish to strike, and the type of arrangement they desire with the United States.”
He continued, “Do they want their economy to remain suffocated indefinitely, or do they want a better relationship with the West? This has always been the choice presented to them by the President.”
The United States aims to increase oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz, as this is the leverage card that Iran holds.
