Ambassador Al-Amiri discusses cultural and craft cooperation with Tajikistan's Minister of Culture

Kuwait’s Ambassador to Dushanbe, Mohammed Al-Amiri, held talks today with Tajikistan’s Minister of Culture, Murtoba Starian, to explore ways to enhance and develop cultural cooperation between the two countries across various fields.

Al-Amiri told KUNA after the meeting that the discussions covered the trajectory of cultural relations between the two nations and several topics of mutual interest at both bilateral and multilateral levels, as well as prospects for expanding cooperation in cultural and artistic sectors.

He noted that both sides reviewed the experience of the “Tajik Cultural Days,” held in Kuwait from November 11 to 14, 2024, and its contribution to promoting Tajikistan’s heritage, arts, and national culture, as well as supporting cultural exchange between the two countries.

He pointed out that the talks also addressed cooperation in the field of crafts and traditional industries, in light of the participation of Tajik artisans in the Second Global Crafts Forum hosted by Kuwait in 2026, emphasizing the importance of such participation in exchanging expertise and experiences, promoting traditional craft heritage, and supporting creative industries.

Al-Amiri mentioned that the meeting touched upon areas of education, academic exchange, joint research, and the implementation of cultural programs, as well as cooperation in media, culture, and youth affairs, building on discussions held in October 2024 regarding the enhancement of cooperation in television, radio, culture, and youth sectors.
