Mossad Chief and Syrian Foreign Minister Discuss Turkish Military Presence in Syria in Phone Call

The call, which sources said took place on August 14, came just days before Israel launched air strikes on a Syrian military air base in the north of the country on Tuesday.
This contact represents one of the highest levels of communication so far between Israel and the new Syrian government since the fall of former dictator Bashar al-Assad in December 2014.
The office of the Israeli prime minister, which handles inquiries related to Mossad, did not respond to a request for comment, nor did a spokesperson for al-Shibani.
