"Financial Times": Iran considers striking U.S. assets in Europe if Trump resumes strikes

The Financial Times reported today that Iran is considering expanding its response to include Europe if U.S. President Donald Trump decides to resume escalation against it. The newspaper added that U.S. assets in both Bulgaria and Cyprus are among the potential targets.

In Bulgaria, the Bezmer Air Base stands out as a military facility located in southeastern Bulgaria near the city of Yambol. It is used as a joint base by the Bulgarian Air Force and the U.S. Army, particularly after Sofia approved the use of the base by the U.S. military to refuel its aircraft during operations targeting Iran.

On the other hand, in Cyprus, the British Akrotiri Base stands out as the United Kingdom’s largest military installation in the eastern Mediterranean, located in southern Cyprus near the city of Limassol.
