Qatari Foreign Minister Praises Hamas's Decision to Accept the Roadmap in Meeting with Al-Thani

The Qatari Minister of Foreign Affairs and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, received today, Wednesday, Khalil al-Hayya, head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), along with a number of the movement’s leaders, according to the Qatar News Agency (QNA).

The Foreign Minister praised the movement’s decision to accept the roadmap aimed at completing the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, expressing his hope that this would contribute to ending the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Strip and realizing their aspirations for security and stability.

He also stressed the necessity for the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and pressure Israel to honor its commitments under the agreement and halt its ongoing violations of the Palestinian people’s rights, thereby ensuring the full implementation of the roadmap and achieving peace and stability in the Gaza Strip.
