Artists Tariq Al-Ali and Abdulaziz Al-Muslem announced via their official social media accounts an upcoming theatrical production that will bring them together, titled “Ya Habibi La Taquli Wa La Aqooluk Al-Wa’ad Bis-Sikka” (My Dear, Don’t Say It and I Won’t Say It, The Promise of the Track). They shared a promotional video for the play, accompanied by a song and various clips.
Mohammed Al-Hamli, who is also part of the production, shared the video and commented: “Abdulaziz Al-Muslem, Tariq Al-Ali, Mohammed Al-Hamli, Abdullah Al-Khudair, Abdulmohsen Al-Omair, Obaid with Shalouih, are coming together for the play ‘Ya Habibi La Taquli Wa La Aqooluk Al-Wa’ad Bis-Sikka.’ This marks the first meeting of the two theatrical giants, Abdulaziz Al-Muslem and Tariq Al-Ali, since their play ‘Hello Bangkok.’”
The play is scheduled to begin performances on September 20, 2026, at the Stage of the Workers’ Syndicate in Hawalli Square. It is produced by Fouroog Al-Salam and Back Stage.
The last theatrical work that brought together Abdulaziz Al-Muslem and Tariq Al-Ali was the 1988 play “Hello Bangkok,” which told the story of Saleh, who travels with his friend Bu Obaid to Bangkok, falsely telling his father Abu Saleh that he is searching for his son Ibrahim. However, the son arrives from London immediately after his father leaves for the airport. Abu Saleh then travels with his grandson and Abu Obaid’s family. Upon their arrival, the police in Bangkok arrest Abu Saleh’s grandson.
