"Stairs" Benefit the Heart and Brain

A study conducted in the United States has revealed that regularly using stairs instead of elevators significantly reduces the likelihood of death from cardiovascular diseases, while also lowering the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and heart failure.
The study, published in a specialized cardiology journal and reported by The Associated Press today, found that individuals who regularly use stairs see a 39 percent reduction in their risk of dying from cardiovascular diseases, and a 24 percent reduction in their risk of dying from other medical conditions.
