Russia warns London of paying a 'price' for the use of British drones against its territory

This warning came after the Sunday Times published a report stating that drones produced by two British companies were used by Kyiv to strike military and industrial targets inside Russian territory.

In a statement, the Russian Embassy in the UK accused London of becoming a “partner and accomplice” in these attacks, and of “deliberately choosing to escalate” the conflict.

According to the Sunday Times, one of the companies is linked to the defense giant BAE Systems. The newspaper did not disclose the name of the second company for security reasons.

The UK Ministry of Defense did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The UK has been one of the most prominent supporters of Ukraine since Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022, providing Kyiv with approximately £25 billion in support, including £16 billion in military aid.

As Russia increasingly resorts to using long-range missiles in its bloody war against Ukraine, Kyiv has responded by launching drone attacks targeting deep within Russian territory.
