Al-Jalahma discusses partnership frameworks and supports the progress of sports development in Bahrain

State Minister for Youth and Sports Affairs, Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma, held talks in Manama with the Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain General Authority of Sports, Dr. Abdulrahman Askar, to explore ways to enhance sports cooperation between the two countries, including the exchange of expertise in technical, administrative, and organizational fields.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Jalahma emphasized his commitment to expanding the frameworks of partnership to support the trajectory of sports development and achieve shared aspirations. He praised the fraternal relations between Kuwait and Bahrain, noting the continuous cooperation across various fields, particularly in youth and sports.
For his part, Dr. Askar conveyed greetings from Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad to Dr. Al-Jalahma, reaffirming Bahrain’s pride in the deep-rooted historical ties with Kuwait and its dedication to strengthening sports cooperation and broadening the horizons for exchanging expertise. He commended the distinguished legacy and prominent regional and Arab standing of Kuwaiti sports.
The two sides discussed the development of sports cadres and the implementation of joint initiatives, stressing the need to translate proposed areas of cooperation into practical programs that ensure mutual benefit. Dr. Al-Jalahma’s visit to Bahrain came in response to an invitation from Minister of Youth Affairs Rawan Tawfiqi. He concluded his tour with a visit to the Youth City, where he reviewed its facilities, programs, and initiatives, which reflect Bahrain’s commitment to empowering youth, developing their capacities, and honing their talents to contribute to the nation’s development process.
