Frankfurt plans to sign goalkeeper Atubolu

According to Kicker Sport, the 24-year-old goalkeeper wishes to leave Freiburg during the current transfer window, while Frankfurt is seeking a new goalkeeper to serve as the team’s first-choice keeper.

Frankfurt feels that the performances of goalkeepers Kawa Santos and Michael Zetterer were unconvincing during the pre-season preparations, particularly after a heavy 7-0 defeat to English side Brentford in a friendly match on Saturday. This result has prompted the club’s management, according to Kicker Sport, to reconsider its plans for the goalkeeper position.

Freiburg is asking for around 20 million euros ($23 million) to release Atoboula, who remains under contract with the club until June 2027.
