Locati joins Juventus

Italian club Juventus officially announced on Monday the signing of Colombian defender Johan Lucumí from Bologna on a contract valid until June 30, 2030.

Lucumí, 28, joined Juventus after spending four seasons with Bologna, during which he made 152 appearances across all competitions and featured in the UEFA Champions League.

He began his career with Colombian side Deportivo Cali, making his professional debut at the age of 17, before moving to Belgian club KVC Westerlo in 2018 and quickly establishing himself as one of the top defenders in the Belgian Pro League.

The Colombian defender joined Bologna in 2022, making 152 appearances over four seasons and scoring two goals, one of which came in the UEFA Champions League.

Juventus are banking on Lucumí’s experience and maturity to strengthen their defensive line ahead of the 2026-2027 season, as the club seeks to compete in various tournaments.
