Emirati President and Omani Sultan Discuss Recent Regional Developments

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks on Monday with Omani Sultan Haitham bin Tariq regarding the “serious developments” in the Middle East region.

The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that the discussions followed Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s reception of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq during his visit to the UAE.

The two sides discussed “a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, exchanging views on them, foremost among which are the serious developments in the Middle East and the efforts made to enhance the foundations of regional stability, security, and peace, in the interest of all the peoples and states of the region.”

Both sides emphasized “their commitment to continuing fraternal consultations on various issues amid the shared challenges facing the region, which necessitate strengthening cooperation and joint action to preserve its security and stability.”
