Food Authority: 180 kg of unfit-for-human-consumption meat seized

The Inspection Department of the Capital Governorate at the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition has seized approximately 180 kilograms of beef and sheep meat and feet deemed unfit for human consumption.

The authority stated that the meat was found to be spoiled, with its natural properties altered in terms of color, shape, and odor, emitting foul and unnatural smells.

It added that the offenders had tampered with the seals affixed to the meat, which indicate the slaughter date, in an attempt to conceal its details and mislead consumers.
