Most Expensive Falcon at Saudi Falcon Farming International Auction Sells for 1.3 Million Riyals

The 2026 International Falcon Farming Auction Platform witnessed the sale of this year’s most expensive falcon, a Super White Ger Malthouth, for 1.3 million riyals, on the seventh night of the auction platform organized by the National Falcon Center at its headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh. The event featured participation from leading falcon farms from around the world.

The night also saw the sale of two falcons from a Canadian farm for a total of 1.45 million riyals. The evening began with the first falcon, a Ger Pure chick, with bidding starting at 40,000 riyals and concluding at 150,000 riyals. The second falcon, a Malthouth Ger chick, faced fierce competition, with bidding starting at 200,000 riyals before it was sold for 1.3 million riyals, making it the second most expensive falcon in the auction’s history.

It is worth noting that last year’s auction featured several notable transactions, the highest being the sale of a Super White Ger Pure falcon from an American farm for 1.2 million riyals, amid intense competition among buyers for the produce of participating farms. In previous years, the auction recorded the sale of a Malthouth Ger Pure Ultra White chick for 1.75 million riyals, setting the record as the most expensive falcon in the auction’s history.

The auction provides a unique and reliable venue for elite falcons from around the world, through a competitive, direct, and fast-paced bidding process that brings together falconers, producers, and falconry enthusiasts from Saudi Arabia and various countries. The event is broadcast on television channels covering the occasion and via live streaming on the Center’s social media accounts. The auction remains open to visitors until August 25, attracting significant attendance from falconers and enthusiasts interested in this heritage.
