Government statements: Seoul did not import any Iranian oil in July

Preliminary data released by South Korea’s Customs Service showed that the country did not import any Iranian crude oil in July last year.

The data also revealed that the world’s fifth-largest crude oil importer imported a total of 12.2 million tons of crude oil last month, compared to 11.3 million tons in the same period last year.

The state-owned Korea National Oil Corporation will release the final data on the country’s crude oil imports for July later this month.
