Trump asks Supreme Court to allow construction of White House event hall to continue

The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday asked the Supreme Court to allow it to continue construction of the $400 million White House celebration hall, after an appeals court ruled that the project had not received the necessary approval from Congress.

In a filing, the Trump administration asked the justices to stay the enforcement of the ruling issued by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, while it prepares a full appeal before the Supreme Court.
