Sudanese Ambassador to Al-Jarida: Kuwaiti Aid Embodies the Depth of Solidarity Between the Two Countries
The Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Kuwait, Awad al-Karim al-Rayyih Balla, praised the continuous humanitarian support provided by the State of Kuwait to the Sudanese people, emphasizing that the new grant provided by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development to the World Food Programme (WFP) represents a significant addition to humanitarian efforts aimed at enhancing food security in Sudan.
In a conversation with Al-Jarida, al-Rayyih Balla stated that this initiative once again reflects Kuwait’s authentic and steadfast position in standing by Sudan and its people, particularly in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions the country is experiencing. He commended the role played by the Kuwait Fund in supporting humanitarian and developmental projects in sister and friendly nations.
He expressed the gratitude of the Sudanese government and people to the State of Kuwait, its leadership, government, and people, for the aid and humanitarian initiatives it provides, affirming that this support embodies the deep historical and fraternal ties that unite the two countries and their peoples.
He also praised the partnership between the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and the World Food Programme, considering it an important model of international cooperation in addressing food security challenges and humanitarian crises, and contributing to enhancing efforts to assist millions of affected individuals.
Al-Rayyih Balla emphasized that Sudan highly values the distinguished humanitarian positions of the State of Kuwait, which extend beyond providing immediate aid to supporting projects that enhance the capacity to respond to humanitarian needs and improve living conditions for the population.
He noted that Kuwait’s stance alongside Sudan at this stage once again confirms that relations between the two countries are built on solid foundations of brotherhood, solidarity, and cooperation, expressing his hope for the continuation and expansion of Kuwaiti-Sudanese cooperation in areas that serve the interests of the two fraternal peoples.
