Google unveils new Pixel devices and a suite of AI features
Google has unveiled a wide range of new features and devices within its technology ecosystem, including the Pixel Watch, Pixel 11, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold smartphones, alongside updates to Android 17 and AI services Gemini and Quick Share.
The company announced the Health Guardian suite for the Pixel Watch, which provides automatic background tracking of several health indicators, including insulin resistance trends, blood pressure, and sleep breathing quality. It also includes detection of breathing emergencies and automatic calls to emergency services when a sharp drop in oxygen levels is detected.
Google also revealed the Pixel Tag, a smart tracking device designed to compete with similar products, priced starting at $29, or $99 for a four-pack. The device supports UWB and Bluetooth 6 technologies and operates via the Find Hub network, which includes over a billion Android devices. It features alerts for unknown tracking, a replaceable battery lasting up to a year, and will be available in November 2026.
The Pixel 11 runs on Android 17, features IP68 water and dust resistance, and is committed to seven years of updates. Pricing starts at $899 for the 12GB/256GB model, while the 12GB/512GB version costs approximately $1,019.
Google also announced the Tap to Share feature within Quick Share, allowing users to share contacts, photos, and videos by bringing two devices close together. This feature will initially launch on Pixel 6 and newer models, with support expanding to more Android devices later.
In the realm of communication accessibility, the company introduced the Sign-to-Text feature in the Gboard keyboard and Live Transcribe app, converting American Sign Language (ASL) into text. Developed in collaboration with the deaf community, this feature aims to facilitate communication with phones and individuals who do not know sign language.
The Gemini Intelligence suite has received several new features, including task automation across apps and the ability to make phone calls to complete reservations. Additionally, the Gboard Rambler feature helps reduce filler words and redundancy during typing. The proactive assistant’s capabilities have also been expanded to provide direct flight cards, calendar previews, and more.
In the foldable category, Google unveiled the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, featuring two Super Actua displays: a 6.5-inch external screen and an 8-inch internal screen, both with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a brightness of 3,600 nits. The phone is powered by the Tensor G6 processor and 16GB of RAM, equipped with a 48-megapixel main camera and a 4,806 mAh battery. It supports 30W wired and 25W wireless charging.
The device measures approximately 5mm in thickness when unfolded, supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, and offers storage options of 512GB and 1TB. Pricing starts at $1,899.
