Weaving workshop at Bayt Al Sadu teaches participants to make coasters as part of Cultural Summer 18 events

A workshop on teaching how to weave cup bases was held at the Bayt Al Sadu as part of the “Summer Cultural Festival 18” events, with participation from individuals aged 10 and above. The workshop is part of the festival’s activities and programs aimed at developing participants’ manual skills.

In this regard, Al-Balushi told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the workshop’s concept involves wrapping threads around a cord and repeating the wrapping process while securing it in a circular manner until the desired size for the cup base is achieved.

She noted that the workshop aims to enhance participants’ handicraft skills and introduce them to simple, practical methods for utilizing threads to create functional items that add a personal and aesthetic touch to their tables.
