To respond to rumors about his future

Rafael Leao expressed his frustration over “speculation and incorrect news” regarding his future at Milan, emphasizing that only his family and his lawyer are authorized to speak on his behalf.

The Portuguese international player had repeatedly stated at the end of last season that he felt his career at Milan had reached its natural conclusion and that he was seeking a new challenge outside Italy’s Serie A.

However, offers from the English Premier League and Spain’s La Liga did not materialize, leaving offers limited to Turkey’s Süper Lig from clubs Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, and Beşiktaş.

Due to the inability to meet the required transfer fee of 50 million euros, plus a 10 million euro bonus, it appears Leao will remain at Milan.

The player expressed his frustration via Instagram, posting a text accompanied by an image of him training with Milan.

According to Football Italia, he said: “All that occupies me is the pitch: I focus on giving my best in every match and every training session.”

He added: “To avoid any speculation or incorrect news, I confirm that for a long time I have entrusted all my concerns solely to my family and my lawyer.”
