Ronaldo Marries Georgina

Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo married his partner of many years, Argentine model Georgina Rodriguez, in a civil ceremony held on Tuesday in the Portuguese town of Cascais, according to reports published on Tuesday.

The 41-year-old Al-Nassr star posted a photo of the couple exchanging wedding rings, captioning it “C❤️G,” a reference to the first letters of their names.

The wedding comes a year after Rodriguez, 32, announced their engagement on Instagram on August 11, 2025.

At the time, she wrote, “Yes, I do. In this life and in every life.”

Ronaldo and Rodriguez first met in 2017 when she was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store.

In January of that same year, the couple made their first red-carpet appearance together at the FIFA Best awards ceremony held annually in Zurich.

In the reality series “I Am Georgina,” which premiered on Netflix in 2022, Ronaldo spoke about the beginnings of their relationship.

Initially, Ronaldo did not expect the relationship to last long, but he eventually fell in love with Rodriguez.

The former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus star said, “I didn’t think at first that the relationship would be this strong, or that I would fall in love with her. Honestly, I didn’t expect that. But after a while, I felt she was the woman of my life.”

In an interview with the Spanish newspaper El País in December 2025, Rodriguez recalled Ronaldo’s surprise marriage proposal, confirming that she was “shocked” at the moment.

She said, “The truth is that when he proposed, it was the last thing I expected. It took me a long time to grasp the size of the diamond on the ring he gave me. I was so amazed that I left it in my room and didn’t see it in sunlight until the next day.”

Regarding the engagement ring, she described it as “wonderful,” before adding jokingly, “It’s the least he could have given me after ten years of waiting.”
