Municipality: 28 violations in Farwaniya for the "License Your Activity" campaign

Kuwait Municipality has confirmed the continuation of its field campaign, “Kuwait is More Beautiful Without Encroachments,” to monitor and remove violations constructed on state lands, aiming to curb unsightly conditions and the accumulation of waste in residential areas.
Sulaiman Al-Ghaith, head of the Violations Removal Department at the Municipality’s Capital Governorate branch, stated in a press comment during the Municipality’s tour of the Shuwaikh residential area that building diwaniyas (traditional gathering spaces) across streets constitutes a clear violation of regulations and laws.
He noted that the campaign continues to remove and prevent the construction of green fences around house setbacks or the erection of diwaniyas on street sidewalks, which endanger pedestrians and increase the likelihood of traffic accidents.
He explained that the Municipality operates in accordance with regulations that outline its procedures and the fines property owners must comply with, including the cleanliness and road occupation regulations and the safety regulations.
Al-Ghaith urged owners of encroachments on state-owned properties in private and model residential areas to promptly respond to remove all forms of encroachments before the Municipality takes legal measures, which may include financial fines.
For its part, as part of the “License Your Activity” campaign, the Audit and Municipal Services Follow-up Department in the Farwaniya Governorate announced a tour to inspect businesses, health licenses, and advertising permits, taking all supervisory measures against violators and ensuring compliance with the regulations governing shops and advertisements across all their activities.
The department confirmed in a statement that the field tour conducted by the specialized inspection team to monitor violations and take necessary measures in several industrial and commercial areas resulted in issuing 28 violations and 7 warnings related to the shops and advertisements regulations.
It added that the tour would be followed by several field visits across all governorates according to a schedule prepared by the Public Relations Management team in coordination with relevant departments to implement these campaigns over the coming weeks.
