Al-Qadisiya to face CS Constantine in a friendly match

Al-Qadsieh’s first team played its third friendly match of its training camp in Izmit, Turkey, today, facing Algerian side WA Tlemcen at 5 p.m., as part of its preparations for the upcoming season.

Earlier in the same camp, Al-Qadsieh drew 1-1 with Saudi club Al-Zulfi and defeated Al-Arabi 3-1. The technical staff, led by head coach Mohamed Ibrahim and assistant Saleh Al-Sheikh, aim to assess players’ technical and physical readiness by fielding two different lineups in each half, giving maximum playing time to squad members ahead of the return to official competitions.

Meanwhile, Al-Arabi continues its preparations in Kolkata, India, ahead of Wednesday’s match against East Bengal in the playoff round for the second tier of the AFC Champions League. Croatian coach Goran Sablic is finalizing his tactical plan, which emphasizes balance between defense and attack, while applying tight marking on the opponent’s key playmakers.

Although the final starting lineup remains unclear, several players have already secured their places, including goalkeeper Suleiman Abdulghafour, defenders Juma Aboud and Abdulwahab Al-Awadi, and midfielders Khaled Al-Murshed, Zaid Qanbar, and Kanan Maliko. Sablic continues his tactical meetings with the players, reviewing recent footage of the opponent to identify strengths and weaknesses.

As for Kuwait, the national team continues its training camp in London under Portuguese coach Alexandre Santos, who is considering organizing a fourth friendly match after the team played three games against English clubs, the most recent being a 3-2 victory over Barnet. Santos held a meeting with the players to evaluate their performance and highlight the key positives and negatives observed during the match, as part of preparations for a season that demands high levels of readiness.
