«Banks»: First Aid and CPR Training Course

In line with its commitment to consolidating a culture of safety and prevention and enhancing rapid response to emergencies in the workplace, the Kuwait Banks Association, in collaboration with the MENA LIFE HUB accreditation and training platform, organized a specialized training course accredited by the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI/hsi) in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), with participation from representatives of the banking sector.

The course was delivered by international ASHI/hsi trainers from the Kuwaiti Association for Crisis and Emergency Management. It aimed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills to handle emergency situations, enabling them to provide first aid correctly, thereby contributing to faster incident response and preserving individual safety until specialized authorities arrive. The training program included a range of theoretical and practical modules, covering how to assess emergency cases, perform CPR, and use automated external defibrillators, as well as managing choking, bleeding, burns, fractures and injuries, strokes, heart attacks, breathing difficulties, severe allergies, and other medical emergencies.

The course also featured intensive practical applications, allowing participants to practice core skills in accordance with the latest international standards, thereby enhancing their readiness to handle various emergency situations efficiently and confidently. The program was based on an accredited training methodology aimed at developing knowledge and practical skills in first aid, CPR, and the use of automated external defibrillators.

This initiative reflects the Kuwait Banks Association’s commitment to supporting a safer and more prepared work environment for dealing with emergency situations, by providing high-quality training programs that contribute to raising awareness and enhancing practical skills among banking sector employees. It also underscores the importance of collaborating with specialized training and health accreditation bodies to disseminate global best practices in first aid and emergency response, positively impacting individual safety and the sustainability of safe working environments.
