Trump: Iran is suffering economically and has no money

U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with Axios on Sunday that his administration is monitoring the growing economic pressure on Iran, following U.S. military strikes on Iran and the imposition of sanctions and a blockade over several months.

Trump was quoted during a brief phone call as saying, “We are handling the matter calmly... We are only conducting partial negotiations with them. We are merely observing Iran amid the massive inflation it is suffering and the fact that it has no money.”
