Qatar's Emir Discusses with Oman's Sultan Strengthening Partnership to Realize Aspirations and Interests of the Two Brotherly Peoples

The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and his brother, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, held a summit meeting at the Diwan Palace in Doha this morning.

Sheikh Tamim praised the deep historical ties between Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman, affirming Qatar’s commitment to continuing to strengthen cooperation and partnership between the two countries, in line with the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples and their shared interests.

For his part, Sultan Haitham expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the warm reception and generous hospitality, and conveyed his pleasure at the visit and the meeting with Sheikh Tamim. He emphasized Oman’s interest in consolidating cooperation and coordination between the two countries, thereby strengthening their established fraternal relations and opening broader horizons for joint cooperation across various fields.

During the session, the close fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries were reviewed, along with ways to enhance and develop them on various levels, alongside an exchange of views on several issues of mutual concern.

Following the session, Sheikh Tamim hosted a luncheon in honor of his brother the Sultan and the accompanying delegation, attended by several Sheikhhs, ministers, and senior officials from both sides.
