Ktech and Osasuna Continue Investment in Developing Kuwaiti Talent

Kuwait Technical College (KTC) and Spanish La Liga club CA Osasuna have announced the extension of their strategic partnership for an additional three seasons, until June 30, 2029. This move reflects the success of the collaboration between both parties and their shared commitment to opening new international horizons for Kuwaiti youth and talents through a model that integrates education, sports, professional training, and global experiences.
Under the new agreement, KTC will continue its role as the official and exclusive sponsor of Osasuna in the Middle East region for the next three seasons, enhancing its brand presence on the first team’s official kit and training equipment.
Starting from the upcoming season, the KTC logo will appear on the back of Osasuna’s official match jerseys, as well as on the back of training shirts and the front of training shorts.
The partnership extension follows the success achieved since its inception, which was built on a shared vision that transcends traditional sports sponsorship. It combines education and sports development, providing Kuwaiti talents with real opportunities to gain exposure to international professional experiences and benefit from the training methodologies employed by the Osasuna Academy.
Since the launch of the partnership, KTC and Osasuna have worked on developing various initiatives and programs aimed at supporting youth, promoting global openness, and fostering cultural and sports exchange. These efforts have created new pathways for Kuwaiti talents to develop their skills at both local and international levels.
The cooperation framework includes educational and sports exchange programs that offer students and coaches opportunities to learn from the best international experiences and practices. It also involves the development of youth football programs, providing technical and training support, and launching community initiatives that contribute to discovering, empowering, and developing the physical, technical, and mental capabilities of talents.
One of the most prominent outcomes of this partnership is the “Aupa Ya Kuwait” project, which aims to empower promising Kuwaiti talents by combining academic education with professional sports training, following the values and methodology of the Osasuna Academy.
The project launched in December when Kuwait hosted three coaches from the Osasuna Academy in Tajonar to oversee the training of 120 players as part of a specialized program for talent discovery and development.
After training and evaluation phases, 25 young players were selected to travel to the Spanish city of Pamplona in January. There, they underwent a week-long training experience at the Osasuna Academy in Tajonar, which included professional training according to the club’s methodology, as well as friendly matches against Osasuna’s youth teams.
By extending the partnership until 2029, both parties reaffirm their commitment to continuing the “Aupa Ya Kuwait” project and building upon the achievements of the first phase. This will help expand opportunities for Kuwaiti youth to benefit from international sports expertise, train in professional environments, and gain close exposure to European football culture.
Luis Sabalza, President of CA Osasuna, stated: “The continuation of KTC’s work with us is of great importance to us. It is rewarding to see that after just one year of our partnership, the college chose to extend it for an additional three years. This reflects Osasuna’s value as a partner at local, national, and international levels. Our collaboration with KTC allows us to make a real impact on the lives of Kuwaiti youth through education and sports, which is something we are very proud of.”
For his part, Misha Ayman Boudi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Kuwait Technical College (KTEC), stated, “Our continued partnership with Osasuna reflects the impact this initiative has achieved for our students and youth in Kuwait. What began as a shared vision has today become a platform for talent development, providing international experiences, and inspiring young people to pursue their ambitions with confidence.”
Boudi added, “We are proud to continue investing in opportunities that integrate education, sports, and cultural exchange, allowing our youth to learn from and benefit from the best international expertise and practices. We believe that such partnerships contribute to preparing a generation more competitive and open to the world, whether at the academic, athletic, or professional levels.”
Since its inception, the partnership has featured a prominent international presence for the KTEC logo in the Spanish league, with the college’s emblem displayed on Osasuna’s official kit during LaLiga matches.
This presence represents a significant milestone in the partnership’s journey, reflecting KTEC’s orientation toward building international relationships that go beyond visibility and sponsorship, focusing instead on transforming global partnerships into tangible opportunities and experiences that benefit Kuwaiti students and youth.
Kuwait Technical College (KTEC) is a private higher education institution in Kuwait, focusing on technical and applied education and preparing students for the demands of the local and global job market. Through its academic programs, international partnerships, and initiatives in professional and student development, the college strives to provide a comprehensive educational experience that links academic knowledge with practical application and future opportunities.
The extension of the partnership with Club Atlético Osasuna until 2029 marks the beginning of a new phase of cooperation between the two parties, aimed at expanding the scope of educational and sports initiatives, developing talent, enhancing cultural and international exchange, and opening new horizons for Kuwaiti youth to learn, train, and gain experience in accordance with global best practices.
Thus, KTEC and Osasuna continue to build a partnership that transcends the boundaries of the pitch, serving as a platform that integrates education, sports, empowerment, and openness to the world, contributing to investing in youth potential and building real opportunities for their future.
