Inter Milan targets signing Curtis Jones from Liverpool

Italian club Inter Milan is seeking to bolster its squad during the ongoing summer transfer window by signing Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones.
The Italian club has expressed interest in acquiring the 25-year-old player. According to the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Jones’ versatility, his ability to play in multiple positions, and his threat in attack have made him Inter’s preferred target.
The newspaper added that Romanian coach Cristian Chivu emphasized his desire to strengthen the team’s attacking power, while also noting that Jones provides defensive support, which would help relieve Turkish midfielder Hakan Çalhanoğlu in the center of the pitch.
Jones has played in a variety of positions, a fact that has not gone unnoticed by Inter Milan. Given that he spent periods last season playing as a full-back for Liverpool, any club that signs him will benefit from his diverse skill set and adaptability across multiple roles.
The Italian newspaper clarified that Jones is currently Inter Milan’s top target, but his current club is demanding a fee of 40 million euros. The Italian league champions will need to work diligently to complete the deal during the ongoing transfer window.
