Increase in registration fees for information technology companies and services, effective from the beginning of next year
The Official Gazette, “Kuwait Today,” published Decision No. (11) of 2026, issued by the Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Affairs and the Acting Minister of Media and Culture, Omar Al-Omar, concerning the fees for services provided by the Central Agency for Information Technology.
Article One stipulates that the fees listed in Table No. (1) attached to the decision shall apply, replacing the fees for the registration of information systems companies and related services, as set out in Ministerial Decision No. (45) of 2001 determining the value of publications and services provided by the Ministry of Planning.
The table specifies the fees for registering companies, training institutes, and Kuwaiti public institutions in the field of information technology, as follows: a company registration fee of 200 Kuwaiti Dinars, covering the audit process and issuance of the certificate; an annual renewal fee of 100 Kuwaiti Dinars, covering updates to the company’s data; a basic field fee of 50 Kuwaiti Dinars per main field; a specialized field fee of 25 Kuwaiti Dinars per specialized field; a training institute registration fee of 250 Kuwaiti Dinars, covering the review of curricula and trainers; a training institute renewal fee of 100 Kuwaiti Dinars, covering updates to training programs; and additional services, including certification certificates and reports ranging from 10 to 50 Kuwaiti Dinars depending on the type of service, covering the issuance of various certificates and certification services.
Article Two stipulates that the Agency shall be responsible for collecting the fees and issuing the registration certificates referred to in Article One, in accordance with the applicable financial procedures and regulations.
Article Three stipulates that the Agency shall take the necessary technical, administrative, and financial measures to implement the approved fees, including updating relevant forms, procedures, and systems, and disseminating the decision to the concerned parties in accordance with established procedures and notifying them of any necessary actions.
Article Four stipulates that all relevant authorities shall, within their respective jurisdictions, work to implement the decision. It was published in the Official Gazette and shall take effect starting from January 1, 2027.
