Ministry of Commerce: 291 applications for Compliance Inspector positions in six months

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry approved the appointment of 291 compliance officers in the gold and silver jewelry, precious metals, and real estate brokerage sectors during the first half of this year.

According to statistical data issued by the Ministry, the precious metals sector accounted for the largest share of approvals, with a total of 208 approvals, while approvals for the appointment of compliance officers in the real estate brokerage sector amounted to approximately 83.

It was evident that the precious metals sector held the largest share of appointment requests during the first six months of the year. In June alone, there were approximately 38 requests for compliance officer appointments in the gold jewelry, precious metals, and gemstones sector, compared to 6 requests in the real estate brokerage sector.

In May, the number of compliance officer appointment requests reached approximately 68, including 41 for the gold jewelry, precious metals, and gemstones sector, and 27 for the real estate brokerage sector.

In April, there were 25 compliance officer appointment requests, of which 20 were for the gold jewelry, precious metals, and gemstones sector, representing a 78 percent decrease from the previous month of March. Additionally, there were 5 requests for the real estate brokerage sector, marking an 88 percent decrease from March.

The number of compliance officer appointment requests reached 133 in March, with 92 for the gold jewelry and precious metals sector and 41 for the real estate brokerage sector. In February, there were approximately 7 requests for the gold jewelry, precious metals, and gemstones sector, representing a 56 percent decrease from January.

In January, the number of compliance officer appointment requests was approximately 20, including 16 for the gold jewelry and precious metals sector, and 4 for the real estate brokerage sector.
