Kuwait condemns Iranian attack on Emirati tanker

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the heinous Iranian attack targeting one of the tankers belonging to the UAE’s ADNOC company as it transited the Strait of Hormuz, in a blatant violation of international law and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817, and constituting a direct threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation and global energy supplies.

The Ministry emphasized the urgent need for an immediate halt to all escalatory actions and adherence to the rules of international law that guarantee freedom of navigation, reaffirming Kuwait’s rejection of any attack on the security and safety of maritime navigation.
