Al-Zaidi meets with the head of Saudi intelligence

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Alloush met today in Baghdad with the head of Saudi Arabia’s General Intelligence Presidency and received from him a message from the Saudi leadership renewing his invitation to visit Riyadh.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing security coordination and information exchange between the two countries. They agreed on the necessity of enhancing security cooperation and sharing information to address current challenges.

The meeting comes amid efforts by both countries to ease tensions and discuss mechanisms to prevent the use of Iraqi territory for any attacks, coinciding with preparations for an upcoming visit by al-Alloush to Riyadh.
