Mother Clings to Her Baby’s Stroller Trapped in Train Door, Pulled 45 Meters

The Czech News Agency (CTK) reported on Friday that a train departing from a station in the Czech Republic dragged a woman for approximately 45 meters after she clung to her baby stroller, which had become caught in the door of one of the train’s carriages.

Police spokesperson Ilona Jazdusova told the agency that the incident occurred on July 22, adding that officers had appealed to the public, urging anyone with information or who witnessed the event to come forward with their statements.

Reports indicated that the woman had disembarked from a regional train traveling on the Decin-Litvinov line in the small village of Haj U Duskova, west of Usti nad Labem, and was in the process of removing her baby stroller from the train carriage.

The doors closed before she could complete the task, and the train began to move. In a state of desperation, she clung to the stroller, which was stuck in the partially open carriage door.

The train driver did not notice the situation until passing pedestrians, who happened to witness the incident, gave him warning signals, prompting him to bring the train to a halt.
